Residential- Dressing Room- Walk-In Closet

Upper East Side, Manhattan East 73rd street, a private three story townhouse on the edge of Central Park, is a glistening example of the romantic sophistication of residential Upper East Side. The project, to create a runway style dressing room and walk-through closet for the homeowners, invited a part of the home that is so essential to the classically fashionable inhabitants of the area, to become part of the architectural landscape as well.

To do so, Oak wood cut to a double thick partition and shelf size added the necessary weight to ground the neutral palette in urbanity, while winter leather wrapped handles and hang poles add softness to the warm gold hardware. A Lutron system integrated with the home's smart controls allows independent management of each lighting component, adding aesthetic and functional definition. The result was a space that felt editorial- toned with the warmth and richness of its interior counterparts along the Park.
